Asia is an area that gives ample scope for the full range of Global Teams' vision and mission. We are actively involved in Pioneer and Mobilization efforts, and working to develop Member Care ministry in this region. As well, through Global Teams’ Business as Mission program, Kingdom Ventures, doors have opened for many outreaches to local people. Here is an outline of the work of Global Teams in Asia.
The Global Teams effort in Laos began using a computer and English training center as a base and platform. This team is also involved in direct evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training.
An active Business as Mission project is underway which will help provide funding for many outreaches to benefit the people Global Teams is working with in Laos.
Global Teams is promoting biblical education for the people in Vietnam who are thirsty for knowledge of the Word of God. Through a certificated program aimed at understanding biblical principles and church planting, indigenous Christian leaders will be equipped to reach out to the unreached people in their areas.
Nepal is strategically located in Asia, bordering several Asian countries that Global Teams is actively working in. Research is currently being conducted to see how Global Teams can position itself in Nepal to better serve the surrounding areas.
Global Teams Asia Director, Michael Jun Jin Kun and his wife Sae Young have a vision of recruiting and training Koreans to be missionaries to unreached peoples around the globe.
In Malaysia, Global Teams is partnering with other mission organizations to provide ongoing leadership training.
