Alberto & Ericka Orozco

Alberto serves as the Coordinator of Global Teams’ work in Costa Rica.  He is married to Ericka Otarola and they both have two children.  Alberto lived in Jacksonville, Florida for five years and served the community as a worship leader at The Father’s House International Church.  He also worked with young-adults and visited the prison in Orlando, Florida for evangelism.  As a youth, he organized youth camps and different activities with the Baptist Church in Costa Rica. 

He has been involved in Global Teams since the year 2003 through Paradise Kingdom Tours.  This business venture was founded to assist with mission efforts in Latin America.  It is a good resource to provide a taste of the Costa Rican beauty and at the same time, spread the Love and Awesomeness of God to all who come.

Alberto has been working among the Cabecares Indian tribe, an unreached people group in Costa Rica, alongside other Costa Rican missionaries.  Their desire is to see a movement to Jesus that spreads from one village to the next.  They organize periodic trips to the reserve and they have been successful in establishing a close relationship with many of the Indians there.

As the Costa Rica Coordinator, he is working on getting a network of people willing to join efforts to establish God’s Kingdom throughout the country.  He works on spreading the Global Teams vision and mission, recruiting and training missionaries, and providing member care when needed as well.

Ericka has been involved in Global Team’s missionary work since the year 2004 alongside her father, Orlando Otarola. She started by providing interpretation services during Global Teams’ meetings in Costa Rica. She came to work full time in September, 2007 and she currently serves in two different areas within the organization. 

She is the Administrative Assistant for the Latin America Director, Orlando Otarola, overseeing several operations in the Latin America Base in Costa Rica.

She is also in charge of the translation of documents, from English into Spanish and vice versa, and the interpretation services needed during meetings, teachings, conferences, etc. for the organization in Latin America. She is working on preparing a team of translators to serve God with their gift and help in the spreading of the Gospel around the world by translating training manuals, forms, e-mails, side-by-side interpretation during meetings, etc.   

She is married to Alberto Orozco, the Costa Rica Coordinator. They both have two children, Christina and Samuel. They attend La Viña, Escazu (Vineyard) Church in Costa Rica where Ericka serves in the worship team. She has served in the music ministry in several churches for 16 years.
