Ron & Claudia Ringstrom

Ron and Claudia Ringstrom joined Global Teams in July, 2009, and have been appointed as missionaries to Laos to serve on Fr. Martin Bunsy’s mission team. Their principal role is serving as co-directors on the English and Computer Training Center in Vientiane. Fr. Martin started the school when he began his ministry in Laos. Ron and Claudia have retired from their respective careers and have answered God’s call to serve in the mission field.

 

Ron has a background in military service and law enforcement administration. During his 24 years in the Air Force, he served as a pilot, instructor pilot, academic instructor, curriculum development manager, and head of a training department serving 600 students annually. In law enforcement, he managed the emergency communications center, department computer systems, facilities, records, statistics, training, and a variety of other activities. During his military service, Ron traveled extensively in the Pacific, Asia, and Europe.

 

Claudia owned her own retail business for many years.  Then she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational behavior and a multi-subject teaching credential, learning handicapped credential, resource specialist certificate, and language development specialist certificate. She served 17 years as a special day class teacher and resource specialist. She continues to be an advocate for special needs children and their parents.

 

Ron and Claudia, in their blended family, have six adult daughters and 12 grandchildren. Their home base is Merced, California.
