The path has been cleared!

In rural, southeast Kenya, a GT group of believers from a primarily Muslim people group has planned a farming project designed to minister to a neighboring people group. Their plan is  to clear and plow the land, purchase and plant cassava, and raise poultry and goats. (more…)

God will make a way!

When we want to share the Gospel, neither language nor distance is a barrier.

After I moved to Sweden several years ago, I wanted to tell some new Spanish-speaking friends – immigrants from Peru – about Jesus. Although I spoke multiple languages, I did not speak Spanish at the time, and they did not know English or Swedish. Yet, through a translation app on a smart phone, I was able to witness to them and they accepted Christ: Hallelujah!  Last year, four people moved from China to my city in Sweden. The Lord opened the door again to use the translation app to share the Gospel with them, they accepted Christ as they heard His gospel in their language. And, now we have baptized them. (more…)

Disciple Making Multiplication!

In April, Global Teams International launched six Discovery Bible studies in tribal languages in Northwest Uganda. Four groups in the remote Karamoja region are studying Bible stories in their language, Karamojong. One of the medical students from GT’s Uganda Medical Mission started a group in the Alur language in April. Praise God, it has already produced a second-generation group! And in a refugee camp, a group of South Sudanese hold a Discovery Bible study in the Dinka language. This group has also reproduced!


A world apart — but together!

Last Saturday, 104 Global Teams field partners from around the world met via Zoom for Bible Study and prayer. It was so exciting to engage with fellow Christians as we saw each other’s faces and heard each other’s prayers in English, Spanish, Kazakh, Kannada, and Swahili!

Scripture Translation presents unique challenges

Many people groups that are experiencing new movements to Christ still lack a useable scripture translation. One of our Global Teams field partners is working on translating the Old and New Testaments into the “heart language” of a people group in a remote, rural location in South Asia.
