The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hands. John 3:35
As I was reading this verse, I began to think, “I love Jesus! I wonder what I could give to Jesus…” Of course, my next thought was, “What does Jesus need? What is it that He doesn’t have?” Well, it didn’t take me long to think — given our line of work — that what Jesus doesn’t have is full worship among the nations.
John Piper has famously written, “Mission exists because worship does not.” Among the unreached, Jesus is not receiving what is rightfully His. Because I love Jesus and have a passion for Jesus, I have a passion for His glory among the nations and a motivation to see these people come to worship Jesus in a new way.
While John Piper’s quote rings true, I think it is equally true that mission exists because worship does exist. I worship Jesus; you worship Jesus, and out of that worship, I believe God wants to have a growing passion to see Jesus glorified among the nations.
In the coming months, you’re going to hear more about the unreached here at Global Teams, as we clariify our vision. We invite you to partner with us to see Jesus’ glory extended to the unreached — to the places where he’s not receiving the worship that He desires.
Are you growing in your passion for Jesus? Are you finding yourself taken up with His love, His kindness, magnificence and power? Are you equally growing in your passion to see His glory among the nations? The two are related.
We invite you to partner with us. Stay tuned here, as we will tell you more ways that we can partner together to see Jesus’ glory extended to the nations.
