Prayer changes things…

March 4th, 2019 by

Prayer doesn’t just change us; it changes things.

Paul reminds us, “If our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” One leader put it this way, “What the blind need is sight, not more light.” Prayer is one of the mightiest provisions given to us to see revelation – sight – come to the least reached who remain under the oppressive veil of Satan’s blindness.

This year, we are emphasizing prayer afresh as the foundation for breakthrough among the least reached. We are calling for more prayer: more time in prayer, more people praying, more effective prayer (growing in prayer). Perhaps you already know a Global Teams field partner. What ways might you redouble your prayers for them, or invite others to pray for them, or grow in your prayer life?

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few, so earnestly pray that the Lord of the harvest would send out workers (Luke 10:2).

Though sometimes we get stuck in knowing how to pray, we have confidence that we are praying according to God’s will when asking Him for workers to go to the least reached by name.
