Prayer Focus: the Uighurs of China

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favour has come (Luke 4:18-19).

Today’s prayer focus comes from the 30 Days of Prayer guide and Lovefast.

The Uighur are a Turkic Muslim people living in Western China. Possibly a million people of this oppressed minority are being detained in reeducation camps. Read more: Read more about this.

Pray that the Uighurs would know God’s love, that the Church in China would reach out to them, and for freedom from every kind of captivity.
